Ocelots are desert animals

One thing I noticed in today's pre-release videos of the Americas Animal Pack is that the ocelot was given Grassland and Tropical biome tags, but not Desert. Their real life range in Arizona and parts of Mexico is very much hot desert. While not a huge deal, it would be nice if we could place them in habitats reflecting that portion of their range. The game has a lot of neat Sonoran Desert foliage which would complement their exhibits well - yet they wouldn't be 100% happy without the tag.

On another note, the coyote would make sense to receive the Tundra tag, since their range goes far north enough.

Yeah I imagine they'll update the ocelot with the next patch, assuming they don't do so before the DLC releases. I don't expect a lot of animal fix updates, but something like this is a minor change, just making certain tagged flora be compatible.

Yeah, I was quite shocked to see Ocelot missing Desert tag. I am optimistic that they'll fix that sooner rather than later.

However I didn't know that there are coyotes inhabiting tundra

In the in-game Zoopedia text, it's mentioned that ocelots specifically live in non-arid parts of Mexico. This seems like it may largely be the case looking at their range map, and explains why Frontier didn't give them the Desert tag. However, almost the entirety of their United States range is still in the Sonoran Desert proper, and small parts of their South American range are Desert too if you go off of WWF's ecoregion classifications.

They're also in South Texas, along the border. It's shrubland, so it warrants the desert tag, too

In the recent updates they are clearly focusing on the issue tracker. Ocelots (and jaguars) not having the desert biome has never been reported on the issue tracker.
