Oculus have announced a new prototype that is supposedly a LOT better than the DK2

Yeah, it looks really cool.

There has been no announcement about a new Development Kit though, so I'd guess that Crescent Bay is a prototype for the CV1 device that will be released next year. The challenges they speak of for CV1 may be about getting the supply chain and manufacturing going rather than VR-related challenges.
