Oculus Dash hardcrashíng after some use in VR

the last week or so oculus dash keeps crashing sometime. anybody having the same problem? a restart of elite and the oculus software makes it work again.

Yes, Dash has been very unstable for me lately ever since I installed the latest Oculus update. Last night it was working perfectly, but the few nights before that I would get a black screen when hitting the home button on the touch controller. I suspect Oculus is to blame, the last couple of updates they've pushed out have been riddled with issues according to reddit. I'm just patiently waiting for a fix.

Well, I still have the crashes of Oculus Dash after 1 month, which is really annoying for multitasking while in VR. I contacted oculus support, but they don't seem to be aware of this being a widespread issue, suggestion I may want clean install the entire oculus software...
Anybody still having problems with oculus dash? Did you find a fix?

Anybody for whom oculus dash is working perfectly fine?

Same issue here, Dash is unusable. Sometimes it'll work if I open it while in supercruise, but it always eventually crashes.

I had this problem, I wrote to the Oculus twitter and got this answer:

"Hey, please re-run the setup and select Repair. If the issue remains then uninstall and reinstall. Afterwards if it persists please create a ticket at https://ocul.us/2EkVVlT"

I did and it solved the problem, no more crashes and it works fine again.

Decided to try tackling this issue. What didn't work:

(1) Doing a repair install of Oculus Home as suggested by Binak Algo

(2) Installing the Oculus version of ED (previously was using standalone)

In either case, I could reliably make Dash (and sometimes the game) freeze up by pinning a window, then pressing the Oculus button to go home. Would crash every time. Saw someone on the Oculus forum suggest opting into the public test channel (Settings -> Beta -> Public Test Channel) in the Oculus app, and that sorted it! Opened the game, pinned a window, went in and out of Oculus home a buncha times, and no crash. Then I flew around in supercruise and docked at a station, periodically doing the same thing, and still no crashes, so I think it's fixed. This also means a fix should be coming to stable fairly soon.

Sorry for necroing, but i really have no clue where to turn at this point. I recently got Rift S, and since then my EDH starts minimized, and everytime i try to bring it to front, Oculus Dash.exe crashes and immediately restarts. The main menu window on one of my monitors just flashes and then promptly minimizes itself again and that's it. I got somewhat underpowered PC, CPU is very slightly below the minimum recommended config, but i've been running other VR content including HL:Alyx without issues whatsoever. I really have no clue what to do here... I know that nothing is stealing focus, the problem is linked to Dash crashing and restarting itself, but i have no clue WHY is it doing that. :-(
