There are a lot of us with DK2s, and quite a few more Elite fans thinking about getting one. Like the matrix, these things have to be experienced to be understood. Screenshots and reviews really don't convey what it is like, and the technology is so new that people need to go in with their eyes open (sorry) to the limitations.
I let a couple of forum members try my setup last week at the premiere, and I understand both are now getting their own DK2s.
As a community we can help each other out here, and maybe raise a little charity cash along the way.
I'm suggesting that anyone who is willing to be contacted through the forum to give a 1:1 rift demo should post their rough location in this thread. Anybody who is reading this who would like to try ED in the rift can then drop a PM to you. The rest is up to individuals - obviously you stay safe when meeting people from the internet, but my experience so far is that this community are a friendly bunch.
I think a £5-$10 donation to Special Effect would be a reasonable thing for a rift demo, no?
