Hello all! I recently got into Elite Dangerous and have been spending an immense amount of time playing during quarantine. I bought a hotas flight stick and cannot wait to play the game with it. The next step would be VR. I just graduated college in December and I believe I have a job lined up after quarantine ends, but I still dont have huge amounts of money, and have college loans, car insurance, etc to pay for right now. The vive and rift are a bit over budget right now, but I saw talk of the oculus go working with this game. The last post I could find on the forums or reddit are over a year old, so I was wondering how the Oculus Go is with Elite Dangerous. I was reading that I will need to install a program in order to stream it to the headset (since it is wireless). I have a 1660ti graphics card so not sure if this will be suitable for streaming it to the headset. Any help would be appreciated, if you have another headset you recommend that isn't too expensive thats fine too! Thanks fellow commanders, o7!

My recommendation would be to save your money for a better headset - the Oculus Go is only 3 degrees-of-freedom.
Perhaps look for second hand headsets? The Rift CV1 looks to be going for a similar price to a brand-new Go, and I enjoyed my time with that HMD.
If you want to purchase something new, Windows Mixed Reality headsets aren’t that much more than a Go and you’d get a proper 6 DoF experience in Elite.
