Oculus Guardian System and Elite Dangeres trouble.

The Guardian will kick in when I Try to play Elite. It kicks in and out and it will kill the game play. Any Ideas on how to fix this?

Since elite is a seating experience, you don't need the guardian system to be active since you're not likely to get up and walk around. I just turn it off in the settings when playing elite / project cars or other seated experiences.

I have it turned on since i like to get out of my seat and walk about in my cockpit. OP why are you using a Rift in a broom closet?
Sometimes it’s not the size of the room, but rather its contents that causes the problem.

My family room suffers from an overabundance of knee-high furniture, so I’m pretty much boxed in. I could theoretically strap my gaming laptop to my back and play elsewhere, but the battery is crap and my house has outlets in odd places.

Bummer, I ended up having to rearrange my office for the same reason. It looked big enough, but then I realised that I actually barely had the 1m squared minimum play area.

OP... Are you quite close to the edge of your normal play area?
I move my seat to the middle of the room and have a side tables to hold keyboard & mouse. HOTAS is joined up unit and sits on my knee. I suppose with side tables you could have the unit split.
This solves Rift's guardian problem, but it's then a seated only experience until I remove the headset.

But how could this possibly affect Space Ghost? I though he could pass through walls and floors and stuff.
X.
