Oculus Library launches whenever I play Elite Dangerous via Steam

First of all let me preface by saying that I do not own an Oculus headset but an Index. I have the Oculus Library installes only because I play games such as Stormland using Revive.

Now, my problem is that every time I launch Elite Dangerous in VR via Steam, it auto launches the Oculus Library app. Not a big deal in itself but I would like to mitigate system resources since E:D in VR can be a bit finnicky when running too many background apps.

How do I prevent Oculus from auto-launching whenever I start E:D VR from my Steam library?

If you look online for OculusSwitch
Download it, copy to to C:\ then make shortcut to exe and then run as administrator once loaded click on the taskbar Oculus icon and select turn off
Oculus will now not load as the service has been turned off, hope this helps as I only found out about it last night and it doesn't take up Memory(y)

tyvm for the reply! Sounds like exactly what I am looking for. Would you happen to have a download link for OculusSwitch? Google search did not offer up any results for me for some reason.

Oooo very nice, I thought it was the PiTool being crap.

If i do the run as admin trick i get nothing in the headset? Did you encounter this at all?
No I didn't, sorry. I did the right click/run as admin on the Oculus shortcut --> Started PiTool --> started SteamVR from PiTool --> started ED from PiTool (I havent got bases and controllers yet, hence starting ED from desktop in PiTool).
