Oculus offers 100$ refund on HMDs purchased just before price drop

That's funny... their answer on the Oculus Forums about the Summer Sale was pretty much tough cheese. I bought mine at the end of May.

I just sent an email to Amazon UK, and I'm hoping they'll honour that here. Ordered my rift on the 9th of October. I'd literally just finished setting the thing up when they announced the price drop. Fingers crossed.

For us UK guys, pretty sure you can send anything you bought back in 14days because of the UK distance selling laws..

Amazon say they will not refund the price difference but have told me to return mine and reorder at the new price. Seems crazy but that's business I suppose

An extra £100 towards that 1080ti I have my eye on

Am I missing the bit where Oculus is offering a $100 refund as per the OP title?

Looks to me like a collection of ways to try and get the $100 price difference through other means, I see no mention of Oculus giving a refund....

I did just that. A funny way of handling things, but I'm now £100 better off and my new Rift is all hooked up and running beautifully.
