Oculus Quest 2 or Samsung Odyssey+ for ED?

Greetings Commanders,

I'm thinking of jumping into VR and was wondering which headset to get. I'll be mainly playing ED and maybe occasionally some flight sims (DCS World, IL-2 and newly VR supported MS flight Simulator) and racing games (Asetto Corsa, Project cars 2, Dirt Rally 2 and Automobilista 2). I have an option of buying 2nd hand O+ for €300 or new Q2 for €350 and maybe a 2nd hand Reverb G1 for €250 (on E-bay so not a sure buy). But again ED will be my go to game 80% of the time. I'm on a tight budget, so G2 is out of the question even though I'm very tempted by neighbor's offer (he's selling G2 for €600)

Which headset would best suit my needs?

O+ is good but in fact its old headset with low resolution.

G1 is good choice if your IPD match 63mm so i would rather to choose between G1 and Q2 and most probably pick Q2 because its new and have few more interesting features like hand tracking.
In fact G1 in my opinion have very similar visuals to G2 (slightly worse colour, similar fov).

If you are happy going Facebook. It's an astonishingly good budget solution. It's the first headset where I haven't wished it had this or that. Zero buyer's remorse and I am still excited about it.

So, if you can spare another £30 for a decent USB3 to USB C cable, defo the Q2.
I play DR and DR2, AC and own but don's play PC2. Q2 through Link is awesome! It used to be rubbish but that was before the Link came out of beta, which happened a couple of months ago.

For sim racing, if you visit the thread above, the dude in the video originally slated the Q2 when he got it. But that was before the Link came out of beta. He is very positive about it now.
