Oculus Quest 2 Rebinds Help

Greetings, CMDRs!
In anticipation for the account transfer in September I've dusted off my Steam version of ED to get a hang of the controls so I can settle right in once the move from PS4 is finalized.

I really wanna thank FDev for giving us an Oculus preset right outta the gate. I was able to immediately jump in and start flying with very few alterations to the controls. But one issue I'm having is attempting to rebind anything to the alternate thumbstick inputs. ie [Oculus A]+[Oculus Touch (L) Up]. What I'm basically trying to do is free up the slots the Landing Gear, Ship Lights and Cargo Hatch are taking up since I can quickly access those on the Internals Panel in VR and assign those slots to other actions, but every time I do I get the warning that Landing Gear etc and Yaw etc are already taking up that axis. Any attempt to override removes flight controls. I've tried reassigning flight controls to their respective axis as well as individual directions (Yaw Left = Thumb (R) +, etc) with no luck. They'll share these axis in preset but not with custom rebinds.

I'm gonna attempt Strontium's tutorial but I'm hoping there's an in-game remedy as I only wanna change a few binds and Oculus input designations seem ridiculously long and easy to mess up. Am I goofing something up that I'm easily overlooking? I apologize for the text wall. Thank you, CMDRs 🍻
