Oculus quest support

I play on a rift s and love it. My gf has a new quest. She wants to Install ED. so we can coop together. Now I'm assuming we need that stupid over priced cable to hook the quest upto the pc.
But apparently that's not it!! can anyone clarify.

You can use any compatible USB3 cable - I bought this one:

...for £7.99 and it worked fine. There is also a way to use the Quest wirelessly with ED.

I'm playing ED on the Quest using the Anker 1.8m USB A to USB C USB 3.0 cable. Works fine.

You could possibly use Riftcat also (it costs, but not much) - which would mean you can remain wireless. I bought it when a friend lent me his Oculus Go to see if I could stream from my gaming PC. It actually worked very well for the image, but the Go only had one controller and 3DOF, so it was useless for most VR games. As the Quest supports two controllers with 6 DOF, it should offer much better compatibility.
