Oculus Rift and Cockpit Rotation

Greetings Cmdrs, I need help...
A friend of mine has just bought an Oculus Rift. Once Elite is started, Oculus viewer is recognized without any problems.
After a while, coming out of the "System Panel" or "Target Panel" the cockpit is rotated at a certain angle (sometimes 45°, sometimes more).
Under these conditions, obviously it's not easy to fly the ship. There is no way to re-center the view and the only way to resolve it is to close and restart the game.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

There is an option to recenter the HMD display - I have mine bound to a button on my joystick, so there must be an option somewhere - sorry can't point you exactly where.. miscellaneous maybe?

I play with an Oculus, If you hit the F12 Key it will recenter the view. if it doesn't then you have to bind that key in the option menu under controls..you will find the option in there. Hope this helps you

I encountered this in another game several months ago. The view suddenly stuck after moving the head to the side.
It hasnt occured for months though. It was back on Windows 7. I am on Windows 10 now.

I would check, if all drivers are up to date. Maybe it helps to plug the sensor into another USB controller, or at least use different USB controllers for sensor and headset to avoid controller saturation. Usually you have two clusters of USB ports. I dont know if this will help, so fingers crossed :)

F12 recenters the view.

I use a voice command using the voice attack free demo (doesn't seem to expire, just a limited nr of commands).

Its not a recentering issue...
But recentering is the quickest way to resume normal play right?

Maybe we're talking about a different issue. I thought it was this one where sometimes when you're playing all of a sudden when you should be looking straight ahead you're looking ~45 degrees to the right, but rotating your head still works.

Yes of course - when it is not this issue, but in this case it simply doesnt work. Re-centering resets you to the altered side view. Only a restart of the game you play actually helps.
