Oculus Rift CV1 Sensor Mounting

Hey commanders. I switched from the DK2 to the CV1 and had a real headache with the two sensors. The standard stands wouldn't fit in my room, as I have nearly zero space to place the senors.
There are some mounts on Thingiverse but I liked non of them because the thread of the sensor isn't M6 but something else (maybe some inch and foot stuff). M6 would strip the threads so I designed a clamping mount and printed some.

I uploaded it to Thingiverse, feel free to print or edit as you like. You may also use Shapeways and let them print it for you.
If any german people needs a mount, get it for in beer in Hamburg/Germany. Printed in black PLA, very sturdy.

Nice!

I went very simple with mine because I was impatient! Just some right angle brackets from home depot and some threaded 1/4-20 screws. Like $8 total. My sensors didn't like being mounted upside-down (I've read a lot of conflicting advice on this so YMMV) so I just used some pliers to bend the brackets down.

Booth sensors are mounted upside down without any warnings or errors in the Oculus software or in E:D. Head tracking and the touch sensors are working flawless. Oculus software didn't like the spacing (more than 2 meteres away from each other) but I just ignored that.

Nice! I mounted mine slightly differently. I got a set of these, and mounted the sensors to the wall, just below the ceiling. It allowed me to mount them upright, rather than inverted, not that it really matters.
