Oculus Rift on Display Port via adapter?

Hi guys,

Just broke my HDMI port on my GTX 970. Can't connect my DK2 to it. I'm due to sell the DK2 and I've ordered a DP to HDMI adapter to see if I can plug it straight in to one of the thunderbolts. Does anyone know if this is going to work?

What about for the CV1?

Not sure about the Display port adapter, but my DK2 is currently connected via the DVI adapter and it works fine.

Selling the DK2? Are you expecting your CV1 soon?

I am in the may dispatch window. Selling it while it is still of value

Someone said they have it in their DP, so hopefully will be ok. Would be nice to hear from a techie about the fidelity of the DP vs HDMI

Off topic a little... but I'd be interested to what your performance is like with the 970 and the cv1 when it arrives.

I've held off buying either the vive or cv1 since my rig doesn't meet the min specs for elite dangerous with vr (i7 4790/16Gb ram/gtx970)

If you get decent performance I may just pick one up.

I too am in the May delivery (both the Rift and Vive).
I know it could only be 4 - 6 weeks away, but I'm not sure how I would last that long without VR.
Last night I had an amazing 2 hours in ADR1FT.... so immersive.
