Oculus Rift: Setting Control Option Sliders

I'm watching the videos on how to fly without Flight Assist.
One of the recommendations is to set a 'Dead Zone' for thrust.

When I go to that setting it is a 'slider' - I cannot figure out how to manipulate it with a Thrustmaster 16000 in the VR mode.

Any guesses?

You should just be able to move the 'bar' with the UI Left and UI Right keybinds. You might have to select it first with whatever you have bound to UI Select (usually trigger), the controls menu is annoyingly inconsistent - some of those types of settings you need to select first, others you don't.

Plugging in a new flight stick (where you don't know the controls) and trying to use Oculus for the first time - GAH.
Probably should have shelved the VR for a week and gotten used to the controls first.

Anyways, I'll try your tip.

I'm excited for you learning to fly FA Off. FA Off in VR is so liberating! :)

Once it clicks you don't even think about the controls. You really do become one with your ship. It's awesome!!!

Yeah, I have had to set a small deadzone for pretty much all of my joystick axis. I think they are becoming increasingly knackered. I don't care!

I agree.
I don't like flying with FA ON because it feels like I'm on rails.
I think that is why I'm putting myself through hell to get this right.
