Oculus SDK 1.0 will support DK2 (yeah)

If you follow the dev community on a daily basis, there was never any doubt, that dk2 still is a relevant dev plaform and that it would get SDK1.0 support. It wont get any developement, but will probably hang on for most of VR gen1 in VR in 2016-17

I don't follow Oculus development on a daily basis, it's too repetitive and sparse for that. So, to that end, I've seen there's quite a few that wasn't sure which way they'd go. Good news any way you look at it.

Maybe it'll mean I can take my DK2 out from the box it's been hiding in :)

How how could you leave your poor dk2 in a box shame on you lol even as things stand at the moment it's still a million times better than a monitor . But the future sure looks good roll on Q1 2016

I simply cannot get it to work in Windows 10 after I reinstalled it and the latest AMD drivers and have eyefinity working and then switch to dk2 - so it's snoozing in it's box :)

sorry to hear that CMDR lets hope it gets sorted soon so you can get back inside the dk2

It may have something to do with the "preferred monitor" option being removed from the latest AMD drivers. I'm going to do some experimenting tonight with different driver builds and see what happens.

Palmer confirmed the SDK1.0 is to be released on March 28th. Those developing currently with the 0.8SDK and DK2 can still submit apps, or/and update them when the SDK1.0 when released. But it is only compatible with the Consumer Version of the Rift anyway.
