Oculus SDK v0.4.3 and Elite Dangerous v2.06

I only have eyestrain when the server connectivity gets problematic and causes hiccups. In Solo play all is perfect and smooth with the Rift but in Open Play it depends on the state of the server and the connectivity. I have had superb quality in the middle of the night and in evenings with the same beta version 3.03 seen varying behavior in the same "world" I really think a lot of server issues and waiting makes the rendering sometimes a broken record. So There are many variables including the number of players on your server and in your area. Having seen the effects of a fresh reset of a server and being on it makes a huge difference. Look at how well yo render in Solo with the Rift; It is just unbelievably smooth.
