oculus setting folder........

long shot this one

does anyone know where the 'oculus settings' folder/file is located within ED install folder?

im wanting to change perimeters with in it, the 75hz, vsync on rubbish thats reded out when the rift is enabled, i want to change those values within the install folder, and not have the game/app wave its nuts in my face by not allowing the changing of these values(devs, why did you do this?? its a development kit......... and yet youve locked out the full range of options, good job, well thought out, and well tested!)

cheers in advance

MM

Actually, they did do a good job.

Agree with BigDuke6ixx. They did an awesome job. The game looks amazing on DK2, and on a GTX980 using DSR at 4k res, it looks even better. Have you tried disabling VSync in the graphics driver settings? The DK2 only supports up to 75hz so there's no higher value to set, so why would you want a lower hz?

Yes. VSync disabled in NVidia panel, everything set to performance/disabled and max pre-rendered frames and virtual reality pre render both set to 1. The latest NVidia driver is the smoothest. I only get a frame rate drop when I have 2-3 HUD transparencies occuring at once. Eg Docking number showing, and left UI panel showing and ship scan warning at the same time, or fuel scooping close to a star (star pixel effects with fuel scoop transparency overlaying it). For the rest of the time the graphics are smooth as and I don't mind the occasional drop! Haven't benchmarked it, but at an estimate it drops to about 20FPS. Most settings are to medium but the quality of picture doesn't need ultra settings!

It's like going from a tube TV to an HD LCD !!

And the one biggie is to set the ED graphics option to supersample at 0.75, not 1. 0.5 is better but for me it loses too much clarity then.

Thank you I am going to try that because something seems wrong still even though I have to admit mine looks pretty good comparatively speaking
