I wanted to give VR a whirl, so I decided to turn on 3d within the game. I then turned 3d off, hoping to return to the traditional 2d experience.
Despite this, every time I launch the game, elite dangerous now opens the oculus store. If i close the store, the game closes.
I disabled the oculus runtime, but doing so only causes an error when I attempt to launch Elite Dangerous.
"Failed to intialize libOVR.: -3003"
How do I tell the game and/or oculus app to stop considering elite dangerous a VR title when im not using my headset?
I am using the frontier launcher. I purchased the game thru steam years ago, but am launching it from the stand-alone launcher.
I should mention i am using opencomposite to get around steamVR. After poking around in that, i think that might be the issue.
Edit:
opencomposite is the issue. I will look into fixing it and post any solution i come up with.
Update:
Simply deleting the opencomposite folder enabled me to start the game in 2d without the oculus store opening.
