Oculus Tridef Vr

Isn't that just a projection of your 2D monitor into the VR environment as a 2D screen?

VR headsets offer lower resolution than gaming monitors - so it would be a much lower resolution view of the screen than in "Real Life"(TM), even though it might appear larger (size does not equal resolution).

Not sure what the point of TriDef is unless your monitor be borked or you physically cannot bear to remove your headset...

The site https://www.tridef.com/products/vr says : Play supported games in stereo 3D , over 900 games supported!

Here is Info https://www.tridef.com/user-guide/vr

Has anyone with Oculus Rift tried this https://www.tridef.com/products/vr ?
Does it work ? Can we use ED with reshade and Tridef VR and see reshade improvments in VR?

would completely defeat the point of playing ED in VR. to me it looks like you are playing 2D games in a virtual environment, a bit like the VR home Cinemas, great for watching films on a virtual giant screen, however it's not VR in the sense that you are actually inside the game at 1:1 scale.

If you have a PC that can handle cranking up super sampling, the image will be fine. Still don't see the point of TriDef for anything like ED, it will just be like playing ED on a giant TV screen.

It's a crappy 2d display of a game, barely works any better than BigScreen if that at all.

Also support games with a 3d mode, or claims to add a 3d mode to games, but it still looks horrible.
It is after all just a flat screen projected in front of you.

Not worth it for anything, stay away.
