Oculus, Vanilla, or Steam - Which should I load?

Ok, needless to say I have the Oculus.
I also have 3 different installs of Elite I have picked up since Beta.
The Vanilla loader.
The Steam loader.
The Oculus loader.

Now I know Steam has some in-steam addins and options, but is there a particular quality or game function that one loader better over the rest?

Much the same things between Vanilla and Steam. I guess I would say keep the Steam one since you can have the overlay support & auto-updates etc. Other than that its only really a difference between the pop up in Steam and selection of the same in Vanilla.

Steam for the convenience of automatic updates alone.

well if youre a tinkerer you'll want a vanilla install..if you want the game to start the proper way you'll want a vanilla install. Avoid 3rd party interference in apps wherever you can
