The other night, I decided to take a break from exploring and try out another big bounty encounter. The one I found was for 148k. I figure, I did it once, I can do it again. My Cobra was outfitted with 2 ACs and 2 rail guns. All loaded up, out into the black I go in search of a bad bad man in an Anaconda.
It didn't take long to find him. Soon after I was down to 48% with a cracked canopy. My approach was all wrong and I paid dearly for it, mostly in repairs and ammo. Round one goes to the other guy.
Round 2 starts up with my shields gone and me trying to get out of the way. Mainly because he jammed on the breaks and I rammed him...oww! While I'm off waiting for my shields to regen, the coppers finally show up. I start moving that way and the Anni warps out. Round 2 a draw
I head back for rearming and repairs before looking for him again. Round 3 is where the strange happens.
I find him again and opening shots are fired. The coppers show up and the Annaconda plays dead. It's barely moving, not firing or anything. It just let's me fire at it all willy nilly so I do. Blam! 148K -ammo and repairs. It was like the enemy just took a nose dive in the 3rd round. it was strange. I guess I bored him to death.
My Cobra is all As and except for cargo racks and weapons. My weapons are pretty much crap but they usually do pretty good. I almost always target the FSD in fights like this.
