Odd Galaxy background....

Ever since I've been in the Phlaingiae Sector (approx. +2500LY elevation), I'm often seeing this odd Galaxy Background where all Nebulae are displayed like below (with "ghosting/shadows").
Can't recall seeing that before but now it's persistent.
Is that a normal thing when beyond a certain elevation (?)

I can say...no, definitely not, I have been way up and way down and never saw that before.
