Odd space background in screenshots

I play on the highest settings at 1080p in fullscreen, take only alt + F10 screenshots and have even increased the background space resolution to 4k in the .ini file and yet these sometimes dark, sometimes gray spots keep appearing. Increasing the scaling resolution makes no difference. Only lowering the gamma setting helps to hide them when playing normally, but doesn't make them disappear from screenshots or at least make them less noticeable. I don't know what to do anymore. I find it super fun to take some pictures when exploring, but they just keep getting ruined. Pls help.

that looks to me like your flying in a system with dust or Magellanic clouds, the whole system is probably enshrouded, those dark spots are clear of particles
