Odd thing just happened on Robigo run...

So I just finished an epic Robigo smuggling run where I had like 10 missions for a total take of around 40 mill. I even made Elite Trader on the third-to-last drop, yay me.

Anyhow the odd thing that happened was on my final drop I got to the outpost and went to hand in the mission and I was 5 slaves short of being able to do it! They wanted 13 and I only had 7...and the bummer of it is that the mission is worth 5 million+ and the station is ~200,000 LS from the star so it was a lot of SC to get there.

I've never seen this happen before as normally if you lack the cargo space to accept a mission you can't accept it, right? So what happened to the 5 slaves? Did they escape and stow away at one of the other stations along the way? Check your cargo holds everyone, they might be hitching a ride in YOUR ship right now!

Seriously though, is this a bug? I assume so?

Check your cargo hatch. Were you in the fight where you lost your shields?

Actually now that you mention it I had a weird situation where I got sucked into a star early in the run, and for some reason I couldn't find the escape vector to wake out and my temps kept rising and rising and rising so finally I aborted the jump but the temps wouldn't stop rising, so I had to log out to save myself from exploding. Everything was fine when I logged back in and I didn't think anything of it, but maybe while I was in the 15 second wait to logout my cargo hatch malfunctioned and some slaves "escaped"? hmm interesting thought.

No its not a bug. Your cargo hatch took damage at some point, guessing you probably overheated when fuel scooping, at which point it temporarily malfunctioned (opened) and you lost some cargo. Had this happen several times myself.

More likely they cooked ;)
Haven't heard of that happening though.

Another "high risk" Robigo Run saved by logging. I'm fine with it, just find it funny how people defend Robigo as the hardest/riskiest activity in the galaxy.

You most definitely damaged your Cargo Hatch when overheating near the star. You will commonly lose a few tons of cargo when this happens. I would bet my next paycheck on it.
