Oddly the Eagle Tactical Pain Pack is out of stock

[scratches head] How can a digital product be "out of stock"? I don't get it.
I mean, sure, if Frontier want to stop selling it, then just remove it from the page ... but "out of stock"?
Am I missing something here?

I don't have a "Buy Now" button ... under Out Of Stock is nothing ...

I don't want to buy it either, I just find it odd that a digital product is out of stock ... how is that even possible?

UK ... and I refreshed the page ... still out of stock
If I go up one level (page tree) the page listing all the packs, also says out of stock ... up one more level, the page listing everything, it's Out Of Stock

It's likely going to be because of the store they're using.

Like it assumes a physical product so there's probably no way you can put down you have infinite stock.

So Frontier probably put 500 or something which of course eventually "sells out".

Maybe?

That doesn't explain why I can buy it and Alien can't, though.

There's a "buy now" button on the main page showing all the skins, you can click that and it adds an Eagle skin to your cart.

But when you drill down to the item itself it says out of stock and no option to buy.

I presume you're looking at different pages?

I'm sure you're right, but I don't understand why in this day & age, you can't have a website selling products and set it so that the product is digital and has unlimited stock.

They probably didn't originally plan to roll the Ed cosmetic store into the Frontier store. The games probably have unique keys(to prevent piracy) so they are to some extent limited(though they can obviously just generate new keys likely automatically and the out of stock notice is just for if that part of the system bugs out instead). The skins don't they're just tied to the accounts but they likely didn't factor for that.

Aye or perhaps a limitation of the store.

I know the store we use is archaic, so many limitations yo have to work around.

It's still out of stock for me.
Is it just me? Or is it out of stock for others too?
I'd be very interested for someone from Frontier to comment on how a digital product can be out of stock.
