Oddysee, Horizons and the commidity market

I'm having having an issue with the commodity market. I play on a ps5 so I'm not privy to EDO. I also do not use outside apps or websites to play Elite. Everything is done in game using the tools the game presents. I have docked at hundreds of stations in the bubble in my 11000 hours of gametime. Therefore I have trade data coming out of my ears when I need to buy a commodity or sell a commodity.
the problem comes with the new "ghost" stations in the commodity market listings. I assume these are new installation brought about by Odysee. The problem is that the consume d and produced listings are nothing but these ghost stations. maybe 90%. Even in the galaxy map looking for exporter and importers, Most ever listing shows these ghost stations first. I tried to filter out land based stations but the filter doesn't work. It seems each systems has a ton more stations to scroll through. When using the compare market filter in the commodity board, it takes FOREVER to scroll through the list.

For me this is making the game more tedious as a trader. As I said I don't use eddb and inara. I don't want to start either. I did see it listed a few times in the bug reports. Was just curious if this is driving any of the rest of you bonkers and slowing you down?

yes. it makes using the ingame tools lot more tedious.

also kind of regression, as when i start the base game on PC, horizon surface stations are not in the ingame tools. let's hope they bring that back for EDO soon.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, OP, trying to set market watches in Odyssey is pretty damn tedious, too.

Most systems have about 38 billion new settlements in them, so on the galmap when you try to compare prices you have to manually click through this teensy weensy little menu of stations that is not sorted in any kind of significant manner.

Lol. Misery may love company but in this case, no, it doesn't make me feel any better. I too, found clicking manually through the compare market listing very annoying. There must have been 300 stations listed in it.

What are these "ingame tools" you speak of? Who plays ED w/o 3rd party tools? Sounds like a nightmare, you have my deepest condolences.

That's a module...not a commodity to be bought and sold on the market

Wasn't claiming it was. Only pointing out that even some of the most basic queries players need to make aren't possible with ingame tools. You can't even look up where to buy your pewpew.

Explore....fly to stations, look at types of systems and stations...make bookmarks.....actually fly your ship to different locations......

You literally can't make enough bookmarks to keep track of where to buy all the things that can't be searched for, Engineers, etc. It's why people have been begging for a proper bookmarking system for years.

I'll have to have a look at that tomorrow, (PS4 myself) and I've been in the Coalsack since Ody dropped so it'll be inteerrsting to see how it changes thigs

Shinrata Desra / I Sola Prospect / wherever I happen to be at the time. I've never had to use a 3rd party website to find a module and the thought of doing it for commodities is enough to to send shivers down my spine.

it is actually interesting, so many newer players (but not onyl those) do not know about i sola prospect. especially after the folding of horizon into the base game it is the place before founders world/elite rank. maybe somebody like to do a PSA or newcomers subforum thread.
