tl;dr ranges from mediocre and terrible, with a couple of cool new features. Sometimes I can't even tell what's a bug and what's an odd design choice.
The Galaxy Map: I'll start by saying I'm really happy about the new search function and how the drop-down suggestions show stations, settlements, etc as you type. I feel like the search function will also add a little fun to sightseeing different systems and their stations/settlements just by typing in semi-random keywords. (I am on the fence about how bookmarks are now categorized and you will see what I mean through this paragraph)
Otherwise, honestly it just does not flow well at all. A sleek design might would have been a cool idea if it was done well but hiding everything in 22 to 23 separate sub-menus and sub-menus within those sub-menus instead of the previous 5-tabs system makes the process of ID'ing systems, checking their info, entering the target's System Map, and selecting filters slightly tedious especially when it comes to gamepads. On gamepad it's a pain to quickly scroll through selections because of the "stoppers" in between every 2-5 buttons that separates the categories so you can't just hold the up/down button to quickly get to an option on that bar. It really just feels like Fleet Carrier menu slapped on a map.
However, the biggest issue is how selecting bookmarks for planets and stations/settlements from Galaxy Map is way more tedious than before (especially for planetside targets). No longer can you directly route to a station/settlement straight from the Galaxy Map and instantly exit the map and having the ability to open up straight to bookmarks next time you open Galaxy Map. Routing to a planet settlement now consists of: Clicking over to bookmarks--> clicking desired bookmark category--> clicking the desired bookmarked settlement--> Clicking the system--> clicking all the way over to system map--> panning all the way over to settlement's planet--> zooming all the way into the planet--> pan the planet for settlement--> select and route settlement--> exit the right sidebar after routing--> exit planet view--> exit system map--> exit galaxy map. I bring this up especially because I tend to do a lot of loop-route trading between systems, so now not only is the trading itself a grind but now even just the process of routing myself is a grind as well. Before, I could route from a bookmark in Galaxy Map faster than the System Map can even load (3-5 secs), but now I could be idling outside of a very busy space station while flying a Type 9 that's been auto-launched by time I can set my route.
The Outfitting: This one should be shorter than the Galaxy Map entry. Starting with the good again, I'm glad that stored modules are now separated by categories, I tend to swap parts between owned ships a lot and this makes the process a bit quicker. I like the new menu aesthetic as well. I like I can cycle through specs at will now instead of having to go to that related category to see the numbers of that specific part.
The bad? Well, logistics doesn't make any sense. Why would I be sent to the module shop when using "Ship Loadout" when I could have just gone to the shop if I wanted to buy something? How come we have the "Swap" function (which only swaps what slot you want to move the already installed module on the ship to) but "Transfer" has been removed? All you're doing is adding steps for swapping modules between the installed and stored ones. Why is the Buyback function only accessible within the clutter of the non-buyback modules? Why can't I install owned modules straight from the "Ship Loadout" menu? Why is it so many clicks to install a module from the "Module Storage"?
EDIT for Outfitting: I also forgot to add about how I think it's dumb that the tiny, discreet toggle switch for when you're buying a new module for a slot that's already being used that it's "sell module" by default instead of "Store Module". That honestly makes zero sense, and to make matters worse there's no confirmation. So you're FORCED to re-buy the module due to an extremely easy mistake. So not only does the Store/Sell part have an extra step, there's zero in the way of a safety feature to prevent accidental sells.
