That's a good point, I don't do anything with the BGS so I hadn't considered it.This is probably a good thing, especially if a murder affects influence.
I think that's where I'm at opinion wise at this point. Glad I had all of my engineering done.Kind of lame, but I have to admit it makes sense...

I was, actually, but killing everyone wasn't part of the mission, just yanking the regulator. If I get the chance I'll test it later with a massacre mission and see if I get more Notoriety. You shouldn't get notoriety if you are on a mission, according to the logic of this game.
If there is anything left of it...
I was on a mission to wipe a settlement and got 3 notoriety (got me an OmniPol in the process, might be the trigger, not sure).
Missions in Horizons to do that sort of thing usually says that if you do it within the given signal sources, authority link or somesuch is suppressed and therefore you won't get notoriety. (memory is somewhat hazy, been a long time since I've played in Horizons, and even longer since I did one of those)I didn't think notoriety was supposed to occur on a mission? I've murdered planets full of protestors and not gotten any in Horizons.
Happy days. \o/Testing, doing the usual stealthy settlement invasion of killing, looting, powering down, and I noticed I now have Notoriety for killing NPCs.
Yes. That is accurate. Seems the mechanics here should be similar. Especially when the settlement to raid is called out.Missions in Horizons to do that sort of thing usually says that if you do it within the given signal sources, authority link or somesuch is suppressed and therefore you won't get notoriety. That is good, it was missing from the game, no punishment for killing on foot.Testing, doing the usual stealthy settlement invasion of killing, looting, powering down, and I noticed I now have Notoriety for killing NPCs.
Okay, is this intentional, unintended, or what? Why wasn't this in the patch notes?
Missions most likely will state if actions taken during mission will be illegal, just like in space missions (Horizons). If you played Horizons, you should know that.Yes. That is accurate. Seems the mechanics here should be similar. Especially when the settlement to raid is called out.
Now if i go freelance killing this seems reasonable.
