So I have been at this for 3 days. I use steam, fyi, I load up launcher, click on the odyssey section and hit install. It does some initial stuff but then once it starts syncing files the progress bar stops counting. If I open the alpha directory I can actually see it downloading a .part file for the elite executable, then the .part disappears and come right back. It seems to be stuck on downloading that one file /shrug. The install directory fluctuates in size as this is happening, for example the last time I tried it would go for 798 mb to 707 mb and back to 798 again and keeps doing that. Thats just one example, as there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when it starts hanging, download progress wise. I have reinstalled 4 times now, I have opened a ticket with no response yet. Sometimes if I let it sit there trying to sync for too long and close it out the install button will be replaced with a play button which never works to start the program. Then in order to try installing it again I will have to delete the odyssey folder and start over.
I am at my wits end. I have tried disabling virtual cache, tried verifying files in steam and in the launcher. The launcher actually hangs when I try to verify there exactly like my above example. Any help is greatly appreciated.
