Odyssey briefly switches to full VR mode during Fleet Carrier jump

Just an observation really.

Sat in my little commander's chair on the flight deck, there's a flicker just as the fleet carrier goes into hyperspace and suddenly I'm in full VR mode, the window mode is gone, and I can look around my fleet carrier in full VR.

Then, as soon as the carrier lands, there's another flicker and it goes back to screen mode.

Weird.

Same as switching to camera mode while on foot, full VR view instead of the grey void flatscreen.

I don’t know if it still does it, but during on-foot combat zones the game would briefly switch to full VR when in the dropship waiting to redeploy.
 
It's done that since the beginning. My working theory is that this happens every time the game locks the player to the seat, which seems to be like a kind of "ship" mode, where then it switches to the normal VR mode. My guess is that isn't really "intended" behavior as in "someone programmed that feature", more like a side effect of locking the player and meeting the conditions to enable VR. Just a therory.

Actually I think it might be more fundamental than that - I happened to do a carrier jump yesterday while staying in my ship, and I still got that flicker when going in and out of hyperspce - it made me think, I get that flicker every time I jump through hyperspace (but normally am in the normal ship so full VR anyway).

I think it's probably some kind of little bug, like 'on enter hyperspace reset view' type thing, that's carried over from the ship into being 'half in a ship', the on-foot carrier experience.
