Odyssey+ controller issue

Hi, got an Odyssey+ and elite dangerous but the game doesn´t react to the controllers, I start cliffhouse, start WMR for steam and than the game, it´s starting and accepts the HMD, I can look around and up and down, but doesn´t matter what button I try on my controllers, no reaction.
Please point me where this issue is solved.

You can't use the WMR controllers for Elite. KB+Mouse, KB+Joystick, Full on HOTAS.. even some people on console game controllers ( Might be wrong on that ). Almost anything except the hand controllers.

As someone who has been using a wireless Xbox 360 pad since the game’s release, you’re not wrong on that

The default controller layout is very good in my opinion, the only change I’ve made is to replace the “headlook” button (which isn’t required in VR) with “recenter HMD”.
