Odyssey crashing while updating (CRC error)

hi everybody,

everytime I try to update my ED client, I get this error (in french it means "data error (cyclic redundancy check")

Is this a known issue, should I try to send a ticket to client support or do I have an hard drive issue ?

Your data is corrupt. Try reinstalling the game. If the issue persists, try a different drive.

may I ask a subsequent question ? what is the use to have both odyssey and horizon installed except for playing with friends who wouldn't have bought odyssey ?

If you have Odyssey, the Horizons installation is the 3.8 compatibility mode for low-spec systems because the 4.0 engine is still partially unoptimized.

As of right now, the 4.0 Horizons just serves the purpose to allow proper interaction with the current narrative as that is limited and/or incompatible with 3.8.
For now, instancing between EDH 4.0 and EDO 4.0 is not possible.
