Odyssey Exo-Biology meaning of Biological (2) signals

In Odyssey, I DSS a planet and find Biological (2) signals, which I assume means 2 biological signals found. Does this mean I can potentially find 2 different forms of life on the planet if I land in different blue green colored areas? Not that there are different regions in this particular planet I'm looking at, as it's mostly blue/green.
I've landed in two completely different locations on this planet but found the same fungal form of life in both places. Not sure if I should be expecting to find a different life form somewhere on the planet.

Yes to your first question.

In DSS mode you can either set the coverage map to show ALL the life form types or filter 1 by 1. If both forms cover the same area, then you will find both of them there. It may take some time, depending on how dense the alien flora is, but generally you should come across it sooner or later.

Various life forms like different environments too, so if fungoida like the mountains, you'd not find them on a plain, even if the coverage map highlights that general area (due to a mountain range being there for example)

Filtering 1 by 1 - will try that next planet with bio signals I find.
