"I support this rumour!"

Indeed it ridiculous that Frontier dropped Elite on consoles they way they did, basically just, "leaving the lights on", not even giving us a bug fix patch since the "legacy "/live split!

.
(Do they even perform maintenance on the "legacy" servers anymore?!

.)
I don't think that most of us would have cared too much if, Odyssey and 4.0 "only" came out on the "next gen" consoles, even if we got delayed expansions like The Elder Scrolls Online and Stellaris etc and were only sharing a BGS across PS5 and Series X...
(While PS4, Xbox One and lower powered PCs became "legacy" as they did, although as said, even then, you'd expect SOME new content in the "legacy" versions!

.)
Meanwhile it's so strange that Frontier as said dropped Elite on consoles as they did, when they have several other games on the "next gen" consoles, including several running on the same engine as Elite! - They "just" don't have Elite on "next gen", when we're all here with our wallets open!

...
While Indeed they could and should still release the "live" game on "next gen" ...
Hopefully they have a nice Christmas break and announce that Elite is coming out for PS5 and Series X by next Summer (and indeed hopefully sooner than that!)

.
My body, console and wallet are ready!
