Odyssey + G2 + Ultra settings running good.

Ok so like most of you Odyssey ran like crap for me. Dropping frames in the 1k's, high cpu usage 60% of my cores and 25% load, reprojection ratio hitting 50% just running like shiat.
I have a beast of a pc too. Dual custom loop, MSI X570GL, 5950X 4.8ghz, 32gb mem, RTX 3090 150/750 and I couldn't hardly run it on low settings.

Tried deleting the graphics setting folder no help.

I got some more performance out of my set up,
Some Nvidia settings that I changed, and Prioritizing the game in windows graphics.
I'm now back to running as good as Horizons, 200 dropped frames in 30mins of playtime and reprojection ratio dropped to 1-2%

Shut off unnecessary services using ASUS GPU TweekII, you will have to restart Steam, or any other needed programs to run Odyssey.

G-Force Experience if its installed and your not really using it, you can uninstall it, Shadow Play will put a big hit on your system, if your using it or not.
Make sure G-Sync or Free -Sync is disabled.

Done it. Same spot (in the black), same preferences (like mostly low with 1,25 HMD). Odyssey - steamvr latency 15 ms, Horizons - 6 ms. Well done frontier

Good threat, btw, thank you

Curious about the settings ingame

In game settings. still messing with a few, stations still are a big hit.
I'm a AX pilot/fighter, Goid battles are or can be hard on the sytem, all the ships when you drop in, the swarm, the lightning and then get in a AX Conflict zone can be laggy.

Basilisk+ double Cyclops [VR] Horizons

Before the changes it didnt matter what I set the in game settings too the performance was almost unplayable.

Dude.. you are running a 3090. If you need to do this, something is rotten in Denmark.
Not saying its not badly coded, or optimized, this helps. 4k VR stutter free Sim racing/flying/space are still one video card generation from stutter free performance IMO. Its really hard drawing from the cockpit outwards

Hmm which driver are you using? Whenever I try anything newer than 457.3 I get a lot more stutter. Your linked videos say to up date the drivers and put HAG on. HAG on makes my system run worse in VR?

I'm running the latest drivers
What is HAG?

Again tis isn't perfect but its far better than what i had. Before it didnt matter what settings I used in game, it suked

Thank you CMDR SpaceGhostC2C, with power management: prefer maximum performance i can run Odyssey 4k Utra 60fps like my old Horizon. My problem is solved, (Playing without VR). 35 to 60 fps before 60 only after yeah ! :)

Please report actual measured framerates. Motion smoothing and ASW can mess with your mind.

Right now it runs pretty smooth on my 3090 / i7 9700K setup. But I seei n fpsVR that I'm getting 45fps. It sometimes dips to 40 or even 38 indoors.

It's playable.

You didn't mention what render resolution you're using on the reverb? I had to drop it to 70% to get 45fps. My in game settings are VR high presets but with 1.0 MSAA and bumped up textures and materials.
