Odyssey ground assault ship?

Im thinking my corvette with shield boosters and 1 pd and 1 heatsink, shield cells and all of the smaller hardpoints with missles.
My plan for cz's is to take out troops as they land and then go on on foot to finish up.

Anyone think a ship launched fighter will be usable for this situation?

Also wondering if reverberating cascade torps would have any effect on a base.

None of the SLFs have weapons which will make landing shots on dirtlegs not incredibly difficult.

RC Torps will probably act as normal Torps when used on bases unless they have revamped the defensive characteristics of ground assets and increased their complexity. Cytos wreck ground assets in Horizons, which means they have a single generic health pool without resistances or armor.

I think I will use my iCourier for it. At least when I do somemthing illegal. That's what I always used it for. It has neatly overlapping AoE with dumbfire missiles on the nacelles. And I think the double engineered racks from the technology broker are simply perfect.Not sure about the middle hardpoint. Might stick with the Imperial Hammer I have in there or a beam laser.

Are the double engineered tech broker launchers not seekers? They're mostly useless against ground targets since you can't lock onto them, unless they're hitting your ship, and you're unable to fire them without a lock.

Oh, right. They're seekers, my bad. I just read "fixed" and assumed that meant they were dumbfire racks.

A ship that can carry multiple SRVs is best. Unless you plan on killing everyone, then you can just spam missiles.

I just want to ride someone's ship firing a multicannon from the side;

If that can't be done, then I'll use a Diamondback Scout named "Blue Thunder" with one multicannon and 3 missile launchers.

if you're looking to target individuals on the ground my (quite limited) experience in alpha suggest the dbx (or impy courrier) instead of the dbs. The central axis of the large hardpoint makes it much easier to manage.

I've fitted Shock Cannon to the DbX I've built to transport myself to on-foot gameplay; but given that people are generally preferring dumbfire missiles to cannon - well, I'll give them a try but I'm not optimistic.
