On foot, you can drop Odyssey items and components, meaning friends can land at an empty location and drop mats for each other. Why not go all the way and make a trade screen for that?
While they are at it, they should also add wing/direct message invitation when targeting another player. The current "social hubs" are not social at all without that..
You say that like it's a bad thing.Without a proper trade window it would be ripe for scamming/stealing.

Options > On Foot Mode Switches > Bind a key for "Open Access Panel"What "inventory"? Best I can tell Odyssey doesn't have a standard FPS/MMO/RPG inventory screen for Odyssey
It's the bottom option of the wheel. You know, the one you use to call Apex. What "inventory"? Best I can tell Odyssey doesn't have a standard FPS/MMO/RPG inventory screen for Odyssey

Yes it does - I've watched (stream) people drop items and others pick them upHey guys, special surprise! This DOESN'T WORK if you're not alone. I was trying that earlier today with my wife, and I couldn't drop items from the inventory. Whereas previously, in Solo/on my own, I would frequently drop ones that are low value/not needed to pick up good items.
I was with my wife as I wrote that, testing it out, there was NO way to drop the items I'd picked up. Normally in solo, or when my private group is empty, I have no trouble. Were the streamers using the current version? The streamers in open or something? Ah, were they grouped together?Yes it does - I've watched (stream) people drop items and others pick them up
It was in a PG I think. Bruce was also talking about doing it on the Frontier streamI was with my wife as I wrote that, testing it out, there was NO way to drop the items I'd picked up. It definitely works when I'm alone in solo OR PG, but the moment my wife is around, the items don't want to drop. Can't even select 'em! My thoughts here by the way are that FDev has always been hostile to player trades in the past (trying to keep the "gold sellers" out of the game I guess?), although they seem to be unwilling or unable to fix the carrier cash transfer system heh... I'll try again tomorrow to see if it was a one-off issue -- given the bugs, could be a one-off UI glitch etc.It was in a PG I think. Bruce was also talking about doing it on the Frontier stream
