Easily prefer the Odyssey screenshot, it could maybe do with some extra bloom in places but the light in Horizons looks like there's a white dwarf in the hangar..
Odyssey is getting better no doubt, but some observations side to side with Horizon.

AFAIK, it's all Cobra so I'm not sure what you're talking about?Your probably right about they couldn't use Horizons graphic engine for on foot play but they should have done better job picking up new one. Maybe company that sold them this new engine had a very good sales person
Patch 6 has definitely improved performance in my case. Planets look better in some cases but not all.. I did another expedition to see the improvements and most planets were still pancakes, however I did find one beauty.
as for cockpits, I haven't noticed anything different from horizons but I guess I am not looking closely enough. One thing that is better is that I can now read the surface gravity in the anaconda which before was almost impossible to see with the ship lighting.
