Odyssey Losing Focus

Playing with Rift S and using Voice Attack with HOTAS, keyboard, and a generic mouse.

Everything works fine in the ship. When I'm on foot and press the left mouse button the game will often freeze. This usually happens with nothing in my hands, but will also happen with a gun or tool. Sometimes it will unfreeze with another left click, or maybe with a right click, just after a second or two. Other times it freezes and I need to use Task Manager to exit the game. What I've found happening many times, but not every time, is when I lift the HMD I can see the right click menu open on my desktop, or the desktop settings window open, and maybe others, and they appear to have focus.

So it seems that Odyssey is losing focus with the left mouse click, then strange things happen with the various HOTAS and mouse buttons are clicked, or VA commands are given. I can't figure out anything consistent with either losing focus (other than always the left mouse click) or how I sometimes manage to regain focus after 1 to 30 seconds of mashing buttons in frustration.

Any ideas about what is happening and how to solve it?

After some sleep, I finally put 2 and 2 together. I turns out my mouse pointer was traveling outside the Odyssey client window. It's not something that has ever happened before and not something I noticed while in the HMD. I thought it was some kind of hot key issue. I made the display full screen and that appears to have solved all the problems that I've been having with the mouse. A simple solution, but I still think it's a bug I can report.
