Odyssey Materials Storage

I have historically transferred all my data to my carrier as i had reached 1000 Items of data. I can see my materials stored on my carrier but can only transfer back items for which I have 1 item or more. If I select an item which does not have any items I cannot transfer the items to my ship but lose the item I have tried to transfer from my carrier to my ship. Can someone please explain this madness and help me to recover use of my hard fought materials.

The problem is that I dont have bartender services on my carrier. But I still managed to store the data on my carrier. now I cant get it all off the carrier in case I need to.

I believe it is a bug but as I don’t bother with Odyssey engineering I haven’t been picking the stuff up or storing it on my FC so haven’t been paying it any attention.

A bartender is a useful service. You can use it to sell stuff that you do not want, or even set buy orders. I find selling to carriers very profitable.

AFAIK, it's a long standing bug. My advice would be to install a bartender, get another 1 of the mats in question, or possibly you could ask customer support to make the transfer for you as you're being affected by a bug. In fact several of the carrier interfaces are somewhat bugged and could to with a quality control pass..

Another vote for bartender work around.
How do you wind up with so much data? Or is it the useless stuff that most of us would flog to the nearest bar.?
Assets I can understand getting full storage for, Goods and data would tend to be mostly empty.

When I was engineering my odyssey stuff, yeah, I was constantly short on data. This was always the limiting factor as to whether I could upgrade my gear.

I guarantee some of that stuff isn't needed and it's time to go to a station bar to sell some of it.

I actually got rid of the useless data and so the 1000 is useful stuff for engineering if I want to. It took about 3 months of daily effort to accumulate. I already have 5 fully upgraded suits and over 15 G5 fully modded weapons so I am waiting on Fdev letting is overwrite weapon and suit mods before using any of the 1000.

Being able to use building and vehicle schematics will come first imo.

Just saying.

You'll be waiting forever at this rate, just build more suits! I have somewhere near 20 loadouts each with a unique G5 suit with an oddly specific set of mods tailored to particular tasks and/or how murderous I happen to be feeling. It's fun trying out all the different mods, go wild.
