Odyssey mouse cursor and other menu interface issues

After the latest patch I thought I'd see how Oddity is coming along. Oh dear - couldn't even get past the main menu - mouse cursor only shows intermittently, cursor keys do or don't move selection depending on their mood and even my joystick POV only moves the highlight now and again. Tried changing the mouse pointer in options (had to do it in Horizons) and nope that didn't help, changed resolution from 3840 x 2160 to 2560 x 1440 (again, had to do it in Horizons) and got a bit of improvement but still not completely predictable.

Is there some scaling problem, mouse polling issue or something in Oddity? The mouse pointer was iffy at times in Oddity in the past but never the inability to move main menu highlighting via keys. I have no issues whatsoever in Horizons - just Oddity. I can't see a similar issues posted elsewhere nor in the issue tracker. Everything is bog-standard here, Win 10 Pro, i7 6700K @ 4GHz (no OC), 32GB RAM, GTX 1070 8GB, SSD, mouse is Microsoft comfort-mouse thing, not a variable dps gaming thingie - running the game direct not through Steam. Any thoughts?
 
nope no mouse problems at all same standard cursor

If you mean that the bar in the menu does not follow the mouse, try moving mouse pointer to top of the screen and then to the bottom. That seems to "calibrate" the cursor.
 
tip don't make the mistake of using STRONTIUM DOG CONTROL3.0 binds with odyssey do USE version PUPPYCONTROL 4.0.BINDS with the od and vice versa well that's what I do

Thanks for the replies - strangely enough, I just tried it again (was gonna do the top to bottom thingie) and all was working perfectly. Must have been something going on my end - don't know what, been running nothing but what is still going (browser and email) - no changes but everything seems tickety-boo now. ¯\(ツ)

BTW - no nothing to do with binds, I have those sorted.

I'll flag the thread for locking by a mod. thanks again.
