Odyssey not Detecting my Xbox Controller

I have been playing Elite for several years. With today's update and purchase of Odyssey - now when I lauch the game it does not detect my controller. I have used this for years. I as see the HCS360 profile file in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings - but it is not showing up in game as a choice and moving the controller does nothing.

Anyone else have this issue or one similar?

I experience the same, no response from my Xbox controller. Awaiting for a fix/workaround.

Edit: Steam controller overlay messed up with the game. Deactivating it fixed the issue.
