Odyssey On-foot Composition Scanner Needed

Odyssey needs to have a hand-held composition scanner. There are places where it's just not practical to drag an SRV to the top of a caldera to scan a geological item.

Perhaps the alt method for the DNA collector could be used?

Agreed. For example, profile scanner can scan geothings too. It doesn't even need to new alternative mode. Blue mode is enough. And for biolife too, or let bioscanner to collect codex data by using pulse mode(right mouse button), and every detected life will come to codex automatically.

I second that. Since i have been doing a lot of sampling lately, it is pretty annoying having to constantly get in and out of the srv just so I can get the composition scan going.

I often just use my ship scanner for the really hard to get places like the sides of cliffs, but yes a composition scanner for the Artemis suit would be nice, it's surprising that's something they didn't include but the bio scanner does the same thing for bio, it's just geo that's the issue, maybe they can make the bio scanner a dual purpose tool, scan mineral and bio!
