Odyssey on-foot xbox controller template?

I have been playing ED with an x52 HOTAS and have recently purchased 'Odyssey'. I have an xbox controller attached but have no experience of it at all. Is there a controls 'template' that I can familiarise myself with. I need it to specify the button key presses to activate on-foot activities. There seem to be numerous templates for Elite flight but not on-foot. I have also purchased 'Voice Attack' 'Leo' and 'Gravity'. I've had 'Leo' working and responding for flight controls (but I only use a few of the features). I haven't yet been able to get 'Gravity' to respond when on-foot.

when you goto the on foot controls section from the main menu
and select presets there are default templates try default context for eg
goto the on foot training scenario and test
one of the presets should give you a basic control which may be bound differently to your preference later on
ie I want my left pad stick to move me forward so I press it forward in the appropriate control section ie up down left right axis
and re-save or BIND it as its known

your xbox controller should be wired or have a proper dongle if not I believe...………. else the game may not see it
I advise backing up your binds when sorted see my old guide which is still relevent for odyssey
the following should make sense after my guide is read (hopefully) https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...-free-backed-up-binds-look-no-further.554451/
my odyssey binds are called PUPPYDOG .4.0.BINDS my ED horizons is called STRONTIUMDOG CONTROL3.0.BINDS
my start preset file for STRONTIUM DOG CONTROL READS STRONTIUM DOG CONTROL
MY start preset fileX4 FOR PUPPYDOG CONTROL READS X4
PUPPYDOG CONTROL
PUPPYDOG CONTROL
PUPPYDOG CONTROL
PUPPYDOG CONTROL
( personally I use just an x box controller and voice attack a self made voicepack and track IR for looking around)
(lets get all your basic controls sorted b4 delving into VA)
though quite why the gravity voice pack does not just work out of the box so to speak like leo is a bit of a mystery

Thanks for your reply. I'll try to work through it over the next few days. I guess that I'm not too concerned about getting voice command * if* I can determine the key presses required. As I have tried to suggest, I would really appreciate some sort of 'keypress' to 'action' diagram. I'm not an experienced games player and bought into the VR system as a means to have a more intuitive experience. I suppose by some sort of experimentation, I'll figure it out eventually.
