Odyssey Planet map colors

Hello Commanders,
I was hopping that maybe one of you might know a bit more about them now. When I shoot a probe a planet it does if fact store and reveal the blue map for the commodity
on the planet.

Now the real question is there are three maps:
1. Being the normal terrain.
2. Being the Darker Blue map.
3. Being a lite blue map, all most a dirty Cyan color.

Can someone explain the two blue colors and what they might be for?

actually, the blue and dark blue spots are not caused by a higher probability to find your desired lifeform but it is the underlying terrain which makes some areas appear lighter or darker.
So we are in the 34th century and there is no technology to reveal "real" hot spots, neither a built in scanner in the SRV to locate lifeforms

Newcomer / Intro - Biological heatmap - help please!

Hi all, are there any experts who can tell me what the different shades of blue / green mean on the planetary surface biological heat map? They don't seem related to terrain features, height etc as they either appear, or don't, at certain altitudes with colour varying a lot at the same altitude...
