Odyssey Price Balance / Fix

Can someone at FD get an intern... heck I'll get on Google and do it for free... to set the prices to something reasonable? The costs of guns and suits vs the cost of full- spaceships with hyperspace drives makes no sense! Even a Sidewinder is around the size of a 737, yet a nice assault rifle is 10x more expensive? That's insane.

Couldn't you just look up things like "What's the cost of an aircraft carrier" and make that a fleet carrier, the cost of an oil tanker and that's an Anaconda, cost of an assault rifle and that's the cost of a gun in Odyssey. The idea that you can play Odyssey without an Elite ship is amazing, but with the payouts as they are, you can't afford a gun and a suit. It's easy to jump in your elite ship and get millions at a Haz Res to buy suits etc, but that's not realistic for a standard grunt. You should be able to upgrade your gear inside the Odyssey experience alone, without jumping to mining etc right?

At any rate, it's just odd that a space suit is worth 10x more than the hyperspace capable, laser equipped, SRV included ship it resides in.

Just another example of how the DLC is a completely different game - really F D spin the FPS off as "Elite ShootieFace" - give us back our Space Game and part refund the LEP holders.

As multiple LEP holder I don't want a refund.
I just want the game David Braben sold with all those kickstarter videos and interviews.
Yeah. that.
Oh, and every new person put on ED, including the Community Marketers, needs to be require to watch all those videos.

You are more than capable of earning enough money to upgrade your Odyssey stuff by just playing Odyssey content alone. Missions pay on average 250k each and high intensity ground CZs pay 7-10 million per match, how is that not enough to upgrade Odyssey stuff?

Speaking of balancing the economy, theoretically you can do that so its closer to real life, like if the sidewinder is the cost of an average car and want your guns to scale accordingly, but then each rifle would only cost a couple hundred to a couple thousand credits at most. 8 minutes in a single ground CZ and you earn enough money to buy enough rifles for an army of 10 thousand? Yeah, that's just plain ridiculous.

Which just proves that the FPS game is totally different game from Elite - just banging two things together is not a recipe for a satisfying experience.
