Newcomer / Intro Odyssey Question

Hi all...

Quick question regarding Odyssey (Planning to try it out, PC version)...

Difference's between Standard / Deluxe Edition & Commander Premium Edition's, which would you go for and why ???

AND... I'm guessing i'll be starting all over again if i do grab a copy and loose what i have from the Horizons version ?

IIRC the special editions only contain some in-game extras (paintjobs and such. Commander's edition also gives you a Cobra as a starter ship. I might be wrong, though, but it's nothing really substantial that would alter your gameplay or something)

If you want, you can continue with your old commander when you start Odyssey.
The only hinderance is that you have to go through the tutorial (which is a lot of fun, however) and then you're thrown in the galaxy on foot. To get access to your ships and/or to be able to buy new ships, you have to gain a pilot's licence at the ship dealer (another kind of tutorial mission). After that, you can pick up where you left off with Horizons.

There is no commanders edition of Odyssey - that's the base game, which you say you have. Odyssey just comes in standard and deluxe versions - and all deluxe gives you is the soundtrack. I'd buy the standard one.
