Since you are a VR fan, if you haven't done so already, would you mind chiming in on the other VR suggestion threads, and "liking" the opening post to help us send a signal to Frontier?
Hello lovely devs! This suggestion is based on some major assumptions, but it would be great if it were possible. Initial Assumptions: That the stereoscopic render used for ships & SRVs in EDO functions in Legs mode. That the 2D screen mode for Legs can be set to toggle on or off...

@LeoBartlet is right, we don't need to crowdfund VR in Odyssey, Frontier is a nine figure company now, a hundred or more times bigger than it was when it was toying with the idea of doing Elite in 2103. As such it has the means to develop this in house, and to an extent, a lot of the heavy lifting for a VR implementation in Odyssey has already been done, with VR framework baked in to the game, as evidenced by the fact that during alpha a lot of VR guys were larking about in VR with the vanity cam. What remains to be done is an element of "polishing" to finesse the very raw VR that is in there already into something playable.
Personally I am of the opinion they should just slap a VR cam on the CMDR's avatar's kneck, and see how it goes, fixing obvious grumbles, for example if you get thrown a few metres by an explosion, that might be a nausea trigger, so might need a fade to black moment like the SRV rollover fade to black, others recon that would be too janky and as such it would need a lot more than just that. Whatever way they do it, I hope they do it soon...
