off topic - trying to find an old controller

Hoping someone can remind me what it's called...

It was released around 5-10 years ago I think, and was basically a programmable keyboard replacement, about the size of an iPad I would guess. It had presets (and I think overlays too) for a number of games and you could program it for others.

1 what was it called?
2 was it any good?
3 if I can get one, would it be a good addition to my saitek x52 for my cockpit (idea is to use instead of keyboard for controls I can't bind to x52

I have something like this but newer. Called logitech G13 game pad. It has a small joystick has about 25 buttons.

Yeah I've seen that in my searches, trying to find out what the one I'm thinking of was.

Reason being, if I could put an overlay on they keys, makes it easier than trying to remember that key "x" ejects cargo... When I could have a button in front of me that SAYS "eject cargo"

Thing about it. I can set it up for different games. Like battlefield 3 Lord of the rings online and Civ 5. I will set it up for Elite when I am ready. I also set it up for game that require Shift Alt, Ctrl Alt to work on MMO. So I never touch the keyboard in the game.

Not only was it programmable as you say, but you put a piece of paper with a picture of whatever layout you wanted
